ThyCurb maintains an extensive library of new and discontinued rooftop unit literature, allowing accurate matches of the dimensions of the new rooftop unit with the existing curb, without extensive field measurements.
Retro-Mate® curbs can be fabricated for new units that are larger or smaller than existing curbs.
STANDARD CONSTRUCTION
- Heavy gauge galvanized steel
- 1-1/2" thick 3-pound density rigid insulation
- Fully welded corners
- Supply and return cross members as required
- Reinforcing to match new unit
- Integral counter flashing for weather tightness
SPECIFICATIONS
- Prefabricated rooftop adaptors to be manufactured of prime galvanized steel construction, 18 or 14 gauge as required, meeting ASTM A-446, 525 & 527, with welded corners and with seams joined by continuous water and air tight welds.
- Adaptors shall be insulated and internally reinforced with T-bars 36" on center, and include necessary block-offs to allow use of existing ductwork.
- Manufacturer to field verify all existing rooftop units to insure proper fit between existing rooftop equipment base to new rooftop unit.
- Rooftop adapters to be ThyCurb Model Retro-Mate® as manufactured by ThyCurb Fabricating division of ThyBar Corporation, or approved equal.
