SALES ASSOCIATE

Job Title: Sales Associate

SUMMARY

Responsible and accountable for achieving the established sales quoting throughput goals, customer satisfaction, profitability of quotes and inside sales metrics established by the executive management team. This position is expected to increase market share by cold calling new customer prospects and following up on all quotes


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Provide sales quotes to new and existing customers meeting established quoting lead times and estimating standards
  • Provide sales quotes to new and existing customers meeting established quoting lead times and estimating standards
  • Follow up on previous sales quotes, new customer leads, completed purchase orders and sales calls from the Marketing team or Customer Support Specialist
  • Identify, develop, and secure sales opportunities through cold calling, prospecting and relationship building. Accountable for meeting established profit margins.
  • Provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers, working collaboratively with Marketing team or Customer Support Specialist
  • Maintain awareness of all product information in order to communicate effectively with new and existing customers.
  • Report customer feedback to management team

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and/or diagrams.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft based software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • 1 year of previous sales experience (exception for current Thybar employees)
Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in a technical and/or engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Three-plus years of sales and/or quoting experience.
  • Experience hand-drawing a concept drawing in 3D
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience of the HVAC industry
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, correspondence, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write correspondence and routine reports. Ability to speak effectively and present information one-on-one and before small groups of customers or employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate PC skills and knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must have the ability to operate general office equipment including copier and fax machine.
